Snuck in a quick concert and went and photographed the Dave Matthews Band who performed in Stockholm tonight. I was really surprised by the hardcore following this band has. Judging by the crowd both outside and those in the front row it seemed like there were a lot of people who traveled from abroad to see this show. There were a whole lot of American English accents in that crowd.
For this show we only got to photograph the first two songs and that was more than enough considering this a band that tends to improvise and extend their songs as they perform.
I’m sure I’ve said it before, but I really enjoy photographing concerts. I’ll gladly run and do a quick concert even if I have already worked the whole day. They are in and out jobs, and the pictures have a pretty long shelf life. Much longer than sports, news, or event other entertainment pictures.
