One last derby at Råsunda Stadium (Part 1)

in

Yesterday was the final derby between Djurgården IF and AIK at Råsunda Stadium. Next year both teams will move to new arenas and Råsunda Stadium, which hosted the 1958 World Cup, will eventually be demolished and replaced with apartment buildings.

The match was delayed for a half hour because of trouble with the subway which prevented a lot of people from arriving on time. However by the time they got started Råsunda looked to be completely full and both sides (on and off the pitch) put on a great show.

In this post you’ll find pictures from the first half, so don’t forget to check out the next post to see everything from the second half.
