I spent much of yesterday at the royal palace in Stockholm to cover the opening of an exhibition of royal wedding dresses. We started out with a private showing for the press in the morning where we had an opportunity to photograph all of the dresses. The designers behind the dresses for crown Princes Victoria and for Princess Sofia were also in attendance and available for interviews and picture opportunities.
I then returned to the royal palace in the afternoon to cover the opening of the exhibition which was attended by Queen Silvia, crown Princess Victoria, and Princess Sofia. Princess Madeleine was scheduled to attend but had to cancel at the last moment. As with all royal events there was a good deal of photographers on hand, both national and international. The event began with a couple of speeches including one from Queen Silvia. It then concluded with a short ballet dance number. After the event we had a few minutes to photograph the royal family as they made their way through the room and looked at the exhibit.
You can read more about the exhibition, which runs until Sunday, here.
Thanks for stopping by!
