After having seen two international friendlies, the newly constructed Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden saw it’s first competitive football match when Sweden met Ireland in a World Cup qualification match.
Unfortunately, past that, there is really very little to say about this game. It was an dull affair that not only finished 0-0 but produced very little in terms of goal scoring opportunities. On one side of the pitch, a team that is completely dependent on their captain and star player. On the other side, a team who’s only mission is not to lose.
