The Swedish national football team played a World Cup qualification game last night where they faced Georgia at Friends Arena. Of course the big story from last night was the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the national team. He has not played with the national team since 2016 but has now returned in hopes of participating at this summer’s Euro.
I was a bit skeptical to him returning at first. I felt like he had his time with the national team and choose to put an end to it. However after last night I think I have come around to it and like the idea of this older more mature Ibrahimovic returning as an older statesman to the team.
